Uruguay V Costa Rica. 14th June - 8PM Both teams to score

England's World Cup starts at 11PM as the Three Lions take on Italy, but before that is the little matter of Uruguay V Costa Rica.

The South Americans are being tipped as potential dark horses in the competition - isn't hard to see why when they boast the likes of Luis Suarez, Edison Cavani and Christian Rodrgiuez. However, Costa Rica have been written off rather prematurely and will be determined to prove themselves in Brazil.

Uruguay's attacking talents should mean that they'll score at some stage, but the underdogs are equally capable of finding the target in Fortaleza. This is the one Group D fixture in which both teams will be used to the climate and as a result has the potential to be the highest scoring game in the group.

Costa Rica are no pushovers and finished ahead of both Mexico and Honduras on route to Brazil, which will be their third final appearance since 2002. Meanwhile, star striker Alvaro Saborio boasts over 30 international goals and will pose a threat to a Uruguayan defence that has come under question in recent times.

Uruguay should win this match, but let's not forget they required a play-off to reach the finals. It might not be as one-sided as people are predicting. We're backing the underdogs to put up a strong fight.
