Algeria vs Russia 26th June 9pm

After an impressive performance last time out, particularly in the first half, Algeria are unlikely to make changes. The likes of Dajbou, Brahimi and Slimani all made an impact and should keep their places in the side, with no injury concerns or suspensions to worry about. Russia Aleksei Kozlov was forced off through injury last time out and could be replaced by Andrew Eshchenko at right-back. Capello must decide whether to stick with the misfiring Alexander Kokorin or go with the more experienced Alexander Kerzhakov up front. Kanunnikov should have done enough to keep his place in the team but the likes of Dzagoev and Zhirkov will be hoping to start.

Russia has been awful in the World Cup and will be seeking to redeem themselves after gaining just a point in two games in a group that was predicted to be an easy one for them due to the experience of their coach and the quality of players that they possessed. Anyone backing the Russians to win a highly inspired Algerian team -who need barely just a draw to move over to the next round - might be on the edge of the seat till the final whistle because they have been specialists in missing clear cut chances in front of goal since the tournament started. Though Algeria surprised by scoring 4 in a six goal thriller in a match greatly expected to be a loss for them with actually few goals it's going to be unwise  for them to attack the Russian team like they did against the Koreans. They rather sit back soak up the pressure and counter. It's expected to be a game of few goals here or perhaps a DRAW.

Verdict : First half DRAW
