The 2014 World Cup has been full of the unexpected and unforseen scorelines with each match averaging 2.88 goals. So far 136 goals have been scored with Lionel Messi, Thomas Muller and Neymar Junior topping the scorers chart with 4 goals each. Brazil kicked off the tournament in style winning their opening match against Croatia after conceding first. Spain crashed out of the competition but before then they lost 5-1 to Netherlands in what was like a replay of the 2010 World Cup Finals. The last standing sixteen teams are as follows:
