France vs Nigeria 30th June 5pm

Les Bleus and the  Super Eagles will face each other in what promises to be one of the most exciting encounter of this stage of the competition. The French team has always enjoyed being the favourites in every game they played in the World Cup, they have actually impressed by winning their first two games by 3 goals margin except of course that they drew their last game against a 10 men Ecuador, this brings an eye to scrutinize how easy and how their flaws can be capitalised upon by the Super Eagles. Didier Deschamps will make some changes from his squad that played against Ecuador, adding up Mathieu Valbuena on the right flank and Patrice Evra back on his left back who were actually rested. Asides that Karim Benzema will need to up his game to make an impact against a physical Nigerian side.

The time is now for the Super Eagles to make history for themselves, they have actually been at this stage in 1994 and lastly on 1998 on French soil. Sixteen years later they face this prospect of making it to the last-eight facing a team they have a chance to beat, despite the absence of impressive Michael Babatunde due to an arm fracture and may be replaced by Victor Moses. You got to love this impressive Nigerian side that always starts sloppy in any competition but kicks off in full speed  after a few games. Having watched both teams last games in the group stage you will wonder why France are heavy favorites. I see this game as a very BALANCED game, with maybe the West Africans brushing  the French team aside. I expect a tough game for the French team whose defence will be troubled by physical Emmanuel Emenike and pacy Ahmed Musa and Osaze Odemwingie. Asides that expect both teams hitting the net at least once.
